This song was born as a response to the daunting reality of my official diagnosis. As I grappled with the uncertainty of my future, these lyrics poured out, raw and unfiltered.
I debuted this piece during my #iFEEDuFEEDme Dinner Tours. For years, it resonated with audiences, each phrase a bittersweet reminder of the fragility of life and the strength found in vulnerability.
Before recording it, I reached out to Mike Warren, knowing that our collaboration would elevate my vision. I showed up with lyrics, a vocal melody, and an acoustic guitar part. Mike constructed a soundscape around it. For final production, Billy Walker helped up with final touches and a brilliant mix.
I'm in love with how it turned out. This song holds a special place in my heart and will always. Every time I've presented this, tears are the reaction.
