How can you go wrong with a love song, creme-filled with dessert references & cute partner pet names? A feel-good, contagious tune - driven by clever lyrics & acoustic guitars. Definitely pop-y, but still having elements of new school country & playful hip-hop.

The timeline for entering this song/video into KXT's Tiny Cake Contest. I wasn't planning on entering, but then my head took over.

Sept 18th - Got an idea for a new song that just happened to include a reference to a cake. I also nailed down a chord progression.
Sept 19th - I finished lyrics for the song, then lost the whole thing because of a computer error. Felt defeated.
Sept 20th - Attempted to remember some of the lyrics & took notes.
Sept 21st - Finished writing lyrics for the 2nd time & wrote the bass line.
Sept 22nd - Designed arrangement.
Sept 23rd - Recorded bass line.
Sept 25th - Edited bass line. Got a company to commit to filming & editing the video.
Sept 26th - Wrote keys.
Sept 28th - Recorded drums with Tim Crispin. Original people committed to shooting the video needed to back out, didn't think they could logically meet the deadline. Got someone else to commit to shooting.
Sept 29th - Recorded keys, rhythm/lead guitars, & vocals.
Sept 30th - Re-recorded intro guitars & vocals because of a new idea. The person that committed to filming backed out, due to work obligations.
Oct 2nd & 3rd - Edited, consolidated, & cleaned up session. Decided I was going to attempt to shoot the video myself.
Oct 3rd - Sent Pro Tools session to Sean P for mixing & mastering.
Oct 4th - With the help of my Mom, we shot the performance scene of the video.
Oct 6th - With the help of Brandy, we shot the story line scene of the video.
Oct 7th - Began experimenting with footage.
Oct 8th - Received 1st draft of mix/master.
Oct 9th - After a few revisions & edits, received the final mixed/mastered audio.
Oct 10th - Buckled down to seriously begin editing footage to the final audio. Finished artwork.
Oct 11th - Publicly posted about someone helping me with editing the video. Several tags, messages, & inquiries later, I decided to try again by myself.
Oct 12th - Threw away the entire video edit & started over.
Oct 13th - Completed video edit & metadata info. Submitted the final cut.
